In order to help the young researchers within RDViet network to get knowledge and skills in RD research, a 5-day training course on Qualitative and Quantitative methods in RD research was organized during 6-10 May 2009 at HUAF.

The course attracted the participation of over 20 young
researchers from various institutions and universities related to agriculture and
RD within Vietnam, who are multi-disciplinary team. Three course teachers
included Dr. Malin Beckman (SLU), Dr. Le Duc Ngoan (HUAF) and Dr. Le Dinh Phung
(HUAF). A appropriate combination between theory and practice gave the learners
an useful environment to get theoretical knowledge and skills to apply it in
practice. The learners and teachers studied, enjoyed and shared their
experiences to each others.

A group email was established so that the researchers can continue to share their experiences and materials in relation to the topic.
